Here is the format for 2010 Season.
We will run three 5 minute qualifiers run as qualifying points.
1/8 truck sportsman will remain as a class for this season.
Mains will continue to be 30 min A’s, 20 min B’s, and 10 min C’s all other mains will run 7 minutes. There must be at least ten cars/trucks in a class or the main times will be cut by 50%.
Turn marshals will receive a deduction from there final score at the end of the season for not showing up to turn marshal. The penalty will be 5 points for qualifiers and 10 points for mains. There will be exceptions to that rule; if a racer is not there to qualify/race there will not be a penalty. If the racer is handicapped there will not be a penalty.
We are adding a class for 1/8th ELECTRIC, there will be discussion on this class at the drivers meeting.
Classes will be run in this order:
1st 1/8 Buggy Sportsman
2nd Monster Truck
3rd 1/8 Buggy Pro
4th Gas Truck
5th 1/8th (electric PROMOTIONAL CLASS)
6th 1/8 Truck Sportsman
7th 1/8 Truck Pro
The rates for this year are 25.00 for the first class and 20.00 for each additional class.
We will offer a 10% discount if you pay for all 8 races at race # 1. If you choose to pay for all 8 races there is no refunds. If you miss a race you will be scored in last place for that class. If there is more than one racer that does not make it to an event the position will be decided by the computer.

Ok with a little help and a lot of luck we have the software needed to run 20man Qual. points. So there will be three 5 minutes qualifiers at this weekends race. We will only run qualifiers on Saturday so we can finish in time to have our banquet. After race one we will go by what time we have left on Saturday. If we can run all of the lower mains we will. Then we will run A's, B,s and C's on Sunday.
I don't know if any one will show up with the short course trucks but we were asked and we are trying to open a spot for them. If they don't show we won't run them.
Guys we are loading the computer with new software we are dumping all names out of the database. When you come to sign up make sure you fill out all of the info on the signup sheet, and have a current ROAR card to show us. _________________ Florida State Offroad Series Director

I did not vote for this. The racers did, I made it clear at the meeting that we would not have time for practice Saturday morning. Three hours per round, three rounds takes a while. _________________ Florida State Offroad Series Director

Thanks Jay more drama.
When we were voting for this I stated in the meeting that there would
be no time Saturday for controlled practice. We had a small crowd this
weekend. If our numbers go back up and I do believe they will. Then
there will be no time for practice. If we start racing at 8:30 and we
have three rounds of qualifying at three hours each. That puts us done
at 5:30 pm. You guys want Saturday morning practice and a resort. It
gets dark early throughout the winter months. We want to done by dark
so clubs don't have to have lights and the track surace does not
change. If you want practice show up on Friday, or your first
qualifier on Saturday is your 5 minutes of practice. I did not vote
for this you guys did. See you at the next race. END OF DISCUSSION!!!! _________________ Florida State Offroad Series Director
